Damian Hi Greg, I do. It's one of the things I HAVE to do. I think I read on another trip that you may be going on the opposite direction from me, though. I'm heading west from the US into Australia, SEA, Central Asia, etc..

utrippin Since I'm starting in Africa, I simply listed those countries. I'm flexible so if whoever joins up has something else in mind, happy to do it.

Blackbird Are you guys passing through canada? If so I'd love to join for basically the entire trip.

Shazard I turn 23 this year and already feel that life is passing me by without sounding like a prick I don't want to get to a later age and regret that I'd left it too long. I was planning on returning to college this year and hopefully get into some training which could tie me down for the next 5 - 10 years. Having read your plans, I think I can hold back, get some money behind me and something to fall back onto.

Ariana Damien your are so right we are so focused on working to create a life but it’s not really living the life (if that makes any sense). You have inspired me to get my trip where ever that is sorted sooner rather than later. I am so glad I finally found a site where there are genuinely real and honest people with the same free spirit I have. If you and your followers end up in Australia let me know and I will see what my position and may jump on board to your next destination.

Damian Steph, I'm on the same boat, but thinking of starting in July 2012. At least that's the plan for now. We should connect if not for the whole trip we can link up for legs of the trip. I'm also flexible in timing and location so I'm sure we can work something out.

mrigasira I am in a similar situation as you - 42, have been working for almost 25 years continuously now, loves to travel. I am from India. Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to take off for an year and go round the world. But I love your idea - so please keep me posted. I am planning Europe for a month this summer, so if we are in at the same time we could catch up. And if you need help travelling through India, please do let me know.

Marcia stacey Have decided I'm going to book my ticket in the next month or so to Thailand leaving in July/august time so I no this trip is defo happening. I don't want to keep talking about it I want to make it happen. I'm just going to get a one way to Thailand and go with the flow and book to each destination I want to visit as and when depending on the funds and how much work I do. All though I'm a bit wary of travelling on my own I'm sure ill meet people along the way. Is there any one who will be in Thailand around this time who can show me around help me out? Or anyone that's serious about going and possibly travelling at the same time as well it's now or never :)
