Diego It seems we have similar plans.. Ill be around southeast asia in november, heading to nepal and india in december.. what do you have so far?

Diego Ellie, I'm planning that same trip for November. Although i'm starting in China during October, I'm planning to arrive to SEasia on the 2nd of November more or less. What route did you have in mind? Take a look at my itinerary (doesn't say much details).

Diego I'm heading to China, starting in Beijing in Oct 4th. We should be able to match Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.. I"ll be heading back to Madrid afterwards.. What cities/activities/sites do you have in mind?

chester Im in Beijing now and will take the train to Shanghai on Sept 22 and will be back on the 25th or 26th. Not sure where to go next. Maybe Xian, Dalian, or Mongolia

Diego i'll be in China probably until the end of October. Tentative schedule, Beijing from the 4th - 10th, take an overnight train to Xi'an 11th - 13th, take a train to Huashan for one or two days and get to Shanghai to see the World Fair and some of the classic. That will be another 5 to 6 days and head down to HK.. I'll be doing most of my trip by train (just quit my job an di'm in the middle of a nice transition... no time pressure).. I'm working on the final details of the itinerary this week, I should have it ready by Friday.. Let me know what you think.. Also if you have other recommendations, tips, etc.

irish_paul I'll probably get to Shanghai around the time you're in HK...I am actually going to HK in one week but then I go to Japan and then Beijing and down through China, the last place I will be in China is Yangshuo near Guilin. After that I will go to Hanoi to begin Southeast Asia route....So maybe we will cross paths in Yangshuo or Hanoi more probably....

Diego I'll be in that area during November. I plan to start in China on October, head south and the continue to Nepal / India...
