comehikewithmike Looks like scottooooo will be there the same time as you. I was there two years ago and it was really eye-opening. I love the culture in Egypt, and the tombs were mind-blowing. Especially the Valley of Kings and Queens.

overlander Make sure you get the hot air balloon over the "Valley". The sounds of the balloons firing up is insane. They had about 30 there at the same time. And about 20 people in each. The atmosphere was very memorable.

scottooooo Hey there giulia.I will be getting to Cairo on the 11 of September.I'm going to spend 4 or five days in Egypt and then head to Jordan next.I'm trying to figure out the Israel/Syria deal.Syria won't let you in if you have been to Israel,so maybe Syria after Jordan and then Israel.

giuliadventures But only 4/5 days in Egypt? Anyway, I'll skip the Egypt tour coz I've been there 4 times already/I'm officially going there for work! I know about some friends who went to Israel and got a visa on a separate piece of paper, not on the passport (I think it's something they do for tourists). It would be nice to get that if possibile! Anyway Im pretty sure Sep 10th is too early for me, I have to settle down in Cairo and everything. Sorry:(

vagabond giuli... what sort of work? i wish i had a job that would send me all over the world. but i'll just have to do with taking lots of holidays for now. :)

giuliadventures no no no I don't work at the moment, lol. I will look for something when I'm there... usually I work in hotels where you work like 9 months a year then I travel. But this time I still don't know what I'm going to find and I'm super-curious:)))
