I caught the travel bug in 2008 when I did a 2 year stint abroad and since not been able to call home home. I feel I need to be out there, exploring what this great planet has to offer. Leave no stone unturned. Who wants to join me?

Jaxon Your jungle route looks epic. Just be careful near the borders, check the travel advisory websites for any travel warnings because there's often guerrilla warfares. If you're in Phuket I'd recommend Sinbi Muay Thai, all the guys at my gym swear by it. I have a recommendation for a training camp in Chiang Mai as well, I can find out the name of it if you want? When are you heading there?

Jasmin Hi Jaxon, I've heard of Sinbi as my friend trained there 8 months. Was thinking of heading there too, but it's in Rawai 45min...and I'm closer to Pattong. Will see how things go...would love to go to Sinbi. Will see if I make it so say hi to my friends trainer :) Yes, please let me know what the one in Chiang Mai is. I plan to arrive around the 5th or 6th of Jan I think... What's your plan/route?

Jaxon Hi Keith, how you travelling? I'm glad I joined globetrooper because it really is the place to find like minded people. I am in the exact same boat as you, setting up an online income stream now so that I can sustain my global adventures up to 3 months at a time, starting early next year. Hummingbird Hello, I am totally new to this site but I am currently in the Philippines and my visa is expiring on 29th Dec. I would love to spend a happy new years with people somewhere in Asia - as I travel alone I am a bit shy to go just into any bar or pub alone. So do you guys have any plans for New Year and where? Jaxon Ok Troopers, the dream officialy starts on the 16th December as I have just booked my flight to Bali where I will be spending Xmas and NYs. Then I'm off to Tagaytay in the Phillipines for a little bit. I should begin my travel blog now but I still have other sites to set up. Hmmm.. so much to do and so little time!

Lauren Hey Jaxon, great trip! Love your attitude. Todd and I (co-founders of Globetrooper) have been travelling since June 2010. We're in Berlin for the next couple of months and plan to be back in Sydney/Canberra, Australia in March next year. So let us know if you decide to check out the east coast, it would be great to meet up.

Jaxon Hi Lauren, I am actually from Sydney, moved to Perth a few months ago for a bit of a sea change. As nice as the place is, Perth isn't somewhere I can stay for too long because time goes backwards here if you know what I mean! No doubt we will cross paths at some stage in the future. Great website by the way, love it!

Lauren Thanks. Maybe you should consider Chiang Mai in Thailand? There are many travel bloggers always coming in and out of there. I bet that's the real hub spot compared to anywhere else in the world. Otherwise Europe, as it's so easy to hop across the border to meet up or go to a conference.

Jaxon That's not a bad idea actually. I was in CM for the Thai New Years water festival back in 2008 and had an amazing time. I'll very likely find myself there at some stage in the next 12 months.
