I am in the exact same boat as you, setting up an online income stream now so that I can sustain my global adventures up to 3 months at a time, starting early next year. Ann D I am also interested in slow-paced travel, particularly in SE Asia. Let me know if you plan on spending any considerable amount of time there and when. I am looking for travel partners to split costs and make my savings last.
PMaz11 Hi Keith, I'm also from the UK and having taken voluntary redundancy from IT, spent some months applying for replacement jobs and trying to set up as self-employed without success, I have decided to take a break, because I can. I can't bring a business model for location-independent self-employment to the mix, but given good internet connections there is a lot of online training I could catch up on. So I am interested to get in touch about possible overlap.

Great idea and trip. Congrats on becoming location independent! Todd and I (Globetrooper founders) have been travelling this way for the last 10 months. We're in India at the moment for 3 months, but we've been thinking later this year we might head to Thailand and stay for a few months. Maybe we'll be there at the same time?
