comehikewithmike Looks like scottooooo will be there the same time as you. I was there two years ago and it was really eye-opening. I love the culture in Egypt, and the tombs were mind-blowing. Especially the Valley of Kings and Queens.

overlander Make sure you get the hot air balloon over the "Valley". The sounds of the balloons firing up is insane. They had about 30 there at the same time. And about 20 people in each. The atmosphere was very memorable.

overlander Wish i could join. will be in aust this year, but too late. I've heard about the track from my aussie friends.

Lauren Would love to do this before we leave Australia, but it's probably cutting it a bit fine. Hope it's a great trip.

iam thinking to travel nortindia near tibets(china)border doing trekking and mountaineering.Moving further to leh in kashmir state along the snowy road which opens only in mid may and close in october due to climatic conditions.
My trip will be something like this
starting from delhi
going to shimla not stopping in delhi
take a bus from shimla to reckong peo
start trekking and riding bike ,enjoying beauty of himalaya .
Trekking all the way through ribba spello puh ,khab,sumdo,lara,kaza, spiti reaching manali .
it will take about 5 to 10 days
then trekking again from manali to leh via rohtang pass which will take 5 to 10 days
spending 3 or 4 days in leh and moveiam thinking in mid june about this trip back to delhi
