Samantha Hastie Hi I volunteered last year with orang-utans in Borneo and the only programme that allows you to be hands on with the orang-utans is the travellers worldwide programme. It is quite pricey but worth every penny. It is also not harmful for the orang-utans for you to be hands on with them. The centre Sepilok has the highest success rate for rehabilitation back to the wild. Check it out.

Samantha Hastie I am planning on travelling through Asia in the summer. Specifically starting in the Phillipines for three weeks in June, Moving to Malaysia for maybe two weeks then Indonesia for 6/7. Finally trying to fit China in at the end for a week or so. Where were you thinking of going? I am looking for people to travel with to keep prices down.

Jen I will be travelling in Peru in July, so I may not be doing this...it depends on how much both trips would cost. I would love to hit Bali at the end of July or early August. But it is still up in the air.
