I'm a very adventurous person and I love climbing, hiking, backpacking, traveling and nature. I have a very healthy lifestyle and I love spending most of my time being physical active outdoors. I want to live a life full of adventurous with people that I like. My friends don't have the same passion as I have for traveling and adventures, so that's the reason I decided to join this page, to meet other people with the same interests as I have. sofia Hey guys! It's amazing how many people have followed this trip, I only expected a few! But I just realized that I won't be able to do this climb next year. I'm so sorry if you were excited and ready to do it next year, but there are a lot of people who are ready and have the time & money to go next year, so you can contact them :-) But I've been thinking a lot about this, since I really want to visit Africa and climb Kili, and I think that I could go in 2014! So everyone who is interested to go in 2014 or later, contact me so we can start planning!

pom Kilimanjaro sounds good ... Soffia, the highest mountain in Iceland is ~ 2000 meters high, how will you prepare yourself? I'm from Switzerland and the highest mountain I have climbed was ~4400 Meters... The kilimanjaro is almost 6000 meters...

sofia I'm in a really good physical shape, so I will just continue with my plan, cardio and strengt exercises... I'm not really experienced with climbing high mountains - and like you said then the highest mountain here is 2000 meteres, and I can't climb that until next summer, so I guess I can't do anything else than work out at the moment ;-) but a lot of experienced climbers say that it's a good way to prepare :-)

sofia Do you mean how to get in a physical shape for climbing Kili? I would recommend doing strength exercises and cardio and of course climb mountains and take long walks. I don't know if there are any mountains where you live, but I mountains in my backyard so It's easy for me to climb mountains and exercise outdoors.

affelay Hi there, I'm at university too at the moment & hoping to conquer Kilimanjaro & mother everest - this is what life's about! Im absolutely in. We should create a Facebook page to commit ourselves too this. Let's get going, make it happen :) I'm wanting to raise money for charity too to give added purpose. Kilamjaro I'm hoping 2012 but I'm desperately wanting everest I'm hoping to be ready 2016-2018. Let's go!!! :)

affelay Also as you probably know, Tanzania is amazing. & zanzibaar islands! I'm a medical student and would really want to do some hospital/community/charity associated work. Would you be interested in this. & you have to make sure you go to Tanzania and climb kilo @ the time of the wilder beast migration wow!!!

sofia I'm in! When would you like to go? I won't graduate until Christmas 2012, so I can't go until then. I was hoping I could go in 2013 and I really want to explore Africa after conquering Kili! I'm so sorry how late I replay. I just totally forgot this site for a while, I've been so busy in school and work and haven't had a lot time planning and daydreaming! ;-)

karthik I am in university tooo....:( I am desperately wanting to climb mount everest...may be 2016-2018 .......But i dont know any thing about mountaineering........if any of you climbed mountains earlier please help me to prepapre my self.......:)

sofia Yes I'm pretty sure you will need a minimum experience, at least you have to be good at climbing mountains and hiking :)
