theog Hey, just saw this after replying to your comment. I'll be going to many of the parks you mentioned (mainly at the west states). Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Yosemite, drive along the coast from San Diego to San Fransisco... you get the picture. When do you think you're getting to TX?

Adam Pely Are you still planning this trip? because I was considering doing a trip like this too in a few days. Do you have much backpacking experience? I'd be leaving from Florida. What was the first national park you were planning on going to? I recently graduated from the University of Miami and wanted to trek through some of the nicer the national parks. I was hoping to add some mountain biking and kayaking down the rivers too wherever possible.

theog Hi Adam. I'm actually on the trip. Right now I'm in Atlanta. Next weekend (I think) I'll go to cumberland island national seashore. from there I'll be on my way to New Orleans, and stop on the way at Talladega national forest in Alabama and/or De Soto in Mississippi. After N.O I'm planning to go to Guadalupe mt. and Big Bend National Parks in Texas. If that interests you - Feel free to contact me at my E-Mail.

theog Hi! I'm also planning a road-trip across the country. From east to west, and then back again to the east. I start in about 2 weeks from NC and work my way west through the southern states. Would really like to meet up on the way.
