Ayush Nehra yush Nehra Hey guys, I'm Ayush from Kenya. I'ma a Student at University here and would like to go on this hike..I've lived almost all my life right next to Tanzania but have never been able to do it..I really want to do it before I join my final year..I am on an internship till Aug 2013 and would like to do it in Sep 2013..Any chances of it happening then? Keep in touch people :) Great Minds think alike :D

Edwina Grace Storie Hey I've noticed you guys are going to be in Zanzibar early and I'm also going to be in Africa from 1-13 March but am still deciding where to head to. I was wondering what you guys had planned for Zanzibar? Or just lots of holiday making?

USAFM6 I'll be in Zanzibar from 3-8 March! I'll be staying at the Pearl Of Zanzibar which is on Baghani Street in Stonetown. Have dinner reservations for "The Rock" Restaurant for the 7th at 7 PM & also plan to do some diving, snorkeling, nightlife exploring, mountain biking & hanging out on the beach. Just checked Expedia and there are still lots of rooms available for the same dates I'm there. Let me know if you'll be there the same time !

USAFM6 Not that I know of Edwina. I'm traveling alone as the folks that originally posted this trip haven't committed to anything as far as I know. Also, they are going to complete their travel by 25 Feb so they'll be gone by the time I get to Zanzibar on 3 March. Come join me in Zanz, it won't be any fun alone! :)

affelay Hi there, I'm at university too at the moment & hoping to conquer Kilimanjaro & mother everest - this is what life's about! Im absolutely in. We should create a Facebook page to commit ourselves too this. Let's get going, make it happen :) I'm wanting to raise money for charity too to give added purpose. Kilamjaro I'm hoping 2012 but I'm desperately wanting everest I'm hoping to be ready 2016-2018. Let's go!!! :)

affelay Also as you probably know, Tanzania is amazing. & zanzibaar islands! I'm a medical student and would really want to do some hospital/community/charity associated work. Would you be interested in this. & you have to make sure you go to Tanzania and climb kilo @ the time of the wilder beast migration wow!!!

sofia I'm in! When would you like to go? I won't graduate until Christmas 2012, so I can't go until then. I was hoping I could go in 2013 and I really want to explore Africa after conquering Kili! I'm so sorry how late I replay. I just totally forgot this site for a while, I've been so busy in school and work and haven't had a lot time planning and daydreaming! ;-)

USAFM6 About 8 total days and less than $2000. That covers 2 nights hotel, ride from airport to hotel, ride to trail, & ride back to hotel & airport again, all food, porters to carry your gear, the $600 climbing permit and everything else except the tips for the guide/porters. USAFM6 Hello!
We just booked a climb for Kilimanjaro starting on 25 Feb and then I'm going to Zanzibar the following week. We are NOT using the "Coca Cola" route up the mountain but the Machame Route. I found a hotel in Stonetown Zanzibar that's mid-priced range and has great reviews. We have room for our climb that starts on 25 Feb & ends on 2 March. Then I have a plane booked to Zanzibar for a very reasonable cost and will be there from 3 March-9 March. Let me know if these dates are about the same you were considering. There will be at least 2 or more of us already on the climb and then possibly the same for Zanzibar. Our trip is already listed here on Globetrooper.

USAFM6 Yes! There's unlimited space as we'll just keep adding people and split up the groups into manageable sizes as we go. Just email Nikki at this email address and she'll give you all the info you need. Just tell her you're interested in the Feb 25th group with Dean and you'll be all set! All inclusive to include airport transfers, hotel costs before and after trip, all food, tents, & porters to carry your stuff will be about $1800. Cost will go down as we get more people too. Tabetha Tarasewich i would love to take this trip with you. i dont have many friends that would take the trip but if you are really going please keep me in the loop. i was also reading that when we do finally take the trip you have to have a tour guide to bring you up and there are 5 diffrent routes. im not going to get to excited yet but let me know!
