It's time for an adventure. Africa - Asia in 12 months. May even tack on South America for a total of 18-24 months.
Only one rule - no rushing.
Low Budget. Hostels. Street Food. Not a partying trip - that's a budget buster. Will there be the occasional beer, live music? Absolutely!
I'm carrying my own tent and couchsurfing, not always staying at hostels. Hoping to meet some interesting people along the way. Do some fun things: hiking, diving, sightseeing, woofing, volunteering, with a few lazy days tossed in for good measure.

utrippin Hi Cristina. Where do you plan to start? I'm headed one way to South Africa late May - then onto Asia - South America. I might stop in Europe but not for long as it's a budget killer & I've been there (loved it!) done that.

utrippin I'll be in Africa.... so if you're interested in Egypt and other African countries maybe we can meet up. Cheap travel is tougher in a larger group though. Not as easy to squeeze onto a public bus or hitch a ride with locals when you have 5+ people.
utrippin I'll be in Southern Africa late June. Hiking Malawi would be fun. But, July might work better for me...

utrippin Chris. I arrive in South Africa early May '12. No specific plans when I arrive, other than to travel overland with public transit. Very interested in joining you guys starting in Cape Town. You can message me directly africaxasia at gmail.
