I've always wanted to travel across the United States from East to West on a road trip, ziggzagging across the states and seeing everything along the way. It's something i'd prefer to do with 2 or 3 travel buddies, sharing the driving and experience. The route isn't set in stone, neither are the dates. At this stage i'm keen to see who else is interested in joining me on this state side adventure.

sean powell Hello Graarm. Myself and a friend are currently living in Canada (we're both brits) and are planning a US road trip north east to la then back to new york covering two months, july to september. We are under 25 so can't rent a car, but are looking for people with a car or access to rentals. Our budgets are similar, and you sound like a cool guy we could get to know well. Graarm Is anyone still 100% interested in joining me on this road trip across the states? Starting North East Coast using Greyhound & car renting. Plan is to work our way down the East coast to Miami then travel across (some of route 66, Yosemite National Park, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Vegas) then travel up the West coast (San Diego, LA & San Francisco)

Ilari Toivonen Pretty much enywhere there is compansion is fine. I hope to see NYC, LA and Vegas and as much inbetween as possible. The people and having fun is way more important than the destinations themselves. Only I have to be back to finland at 10.10.13 when my school starts again :)

Firmbyte I did Route 66 in September 2012 on a Harley-Davidson Road King. Riding from Houston in Texas to Chicago, down 66 to Santa Monica, then down to San Diego and along to El Paso and back to Houston. I did it in about 3 1/2 weeks, taking my time. Was a wonderfull experience, seeing parts of the US that a tourist would never usually see. Planning on doing Route 6 next.

Graarm That sounds great, my friend and I are likely to be renting a car starting on the east coast and then working our way across ending up in California. Any tips or advice?
