The now abandoned city of Pripyat is a bold reminder of the 1986 tragedy at Chernobyl. It is still remembered as the world's worst nuclear disaster on record. There were more than 50 immediate deaths, 800,000 cases of radiation exposure, and countless subsequent deaths of those exposed.
Scientists expect this ghost town to remain free from industry for the next 60 to 200 years. As for new residents, there may never be a time when the area is safe for them to live permanently.

The bare streets of Pripyat are dotted with deserted trucks and homes that were left baron and threadbare from the clean-up and evacuation. This desolation gives the city a vivid ghost-town feel.
Several tour agencies in Kiev operate tours to the power plant and surrounding city. Don't worry, you don't have to don a Hazmat suit, but be wary of what you touch.

Upon seeing the giant catfish in the cooling ponds of the power plant, you'll immediately link their size to some form of genetic mutation. However, the size of these monsters has little to do with contamination and much more to do with overfeeding by tourists and workers.
This is just an idea for a Trip that you can either Create with your own specific dates and requirements, or you can Find a Trip created by another traveller and join them on an adventure.
