Visiting Devon and Cornwall in England - Group Travel

We are thinking of visiting the UK in February 2012, particularly the south west region which includes Devon and Cornwall.

Would expect to visit cities such as Plymouth and Exeter and famous landmarks such as Lands End and smaller seaside towns like St Ives and Exmouth on the coast.

One of the adventure activities that we would like to start would be a hike across Dartmoor National Park and possibly some kayaking as well.

I can see the evenings trying out some of the lesser known pubs and restaurants that the region is so famous for.

While this trip would suit a group, there will be plenty of opportunity for single or couple travelers to explore on their own as well. We can use public transport or go for a couple of car rentals to get around.

There are some great historic cities and towns also in this part of England so you can go for the culture or the remoteness or a bit of both. Weather not likely to be great in Feb of course but hopefully not too bad either.
