Name Volunteer Fiji
This November I will be heading to Fiji, Suva in particular for 2 weeks to undertake some volunteer work. I will be heading over with a bunch of peers from around Australia.
We will fly into Nadi then ferry across to Suva and work within some of the villages outside the main city.
For the first week we will stay with host families, sleep in their huts, have dinner and breakfast with them and get a true Fijian experience!! The volunteer work includes teaching the children literature and mathematics, basic hygeine, restoring the village school as well as implementing water catchments so they have a constant supply of water. Each afternoon there will be activities for everyone like visiting the local waterfall, beach sports, traditional arts and crafts etc...
During the second week of the trip we will be heading to three different islands in the Yawasa Group. These islands are Korovou, Wai Lai Lai and The Island of the South Sea (which will be completely uninhabited!)
On these islands we will be undertaking loads of different activites as a way to relax and thank ourselves after the volunteer work completed in the previous week. Some of the activities include scuba diving and snorkelling the reefs of Fiji, kayaking, fishing, trying traditional Fijian cuisine and watching amazing Fijian entertainment and bon fire parties on the beach.
After both weeks, we will bead back to Nadi and say our farewells to Fiji! (but I am sure I will be back!)

Still looking for flights? You can have flight experts compete against one another to find you the absolute best and cheapest flights.
Tomo Hi Backpackingoz... bummer you think so, as I am the Director of International Programs and we have helped countless families around the Amazon and Fiji in recent years, I am not sure where you are getting "lucrative business" from unless you are one of those people who believe that because you are donating your time, that that should be enough... where do you think supplies come from? Food? Water? Boat rides to and from sites? the $10,000 water catchments that we install? If you could please let us know if you find another organization which offers a "cheaper" version of our voluntour program, we would be ever so grateful for you to pass this info on, as after extensive research, we have been proven to actually be the MOST affordable voluntour option in both North America and Austrlalasia.
Sincerely,
Shona Luciani
