Hi, I am going to be volunteering in a school in Siem Reap Cambodia from the 1st of October until early Jan. I have arranged a hostel at $120 US a month.
I am interested in catching up with anyone who is going to also be doing volunteer work in Cambodia and also anyone that will be in the area to catch up for drinks, or do some local travel with to Angkor Wat etc. I will have each weekend off so plan on doing a few small trips.

Oregonacrosstheocean hey all... hope you have had safe travels. have been investigating volunteering with iamcabodia, or as it stands now, aboutasia schools, been searching for volunteer reviews but can't seem to find any. if you get a chance, can you shed any light on the experience you had? good? bad? thanks so much!

jessica85 Hey, let me know when you're in Cambodia, perhaps you could come and check out the school and see if its something you'd be interested in, or even just spend the day and help out.

kevnlf Im a Personal Trainer (one of my qualifications is FA football coach) so could perhaps do some PE type stuff with them - i will def call by, even if it is for a few days. I will keep in touch with you :)

TuckerWasHere wow, sounds awesome. I am traveling around the world for a year, and plan to be in SE Asia around that time and would love to work in some volunteering as well.

jessica85 hi, if your interested check out iamcambodia.com the volunteer coordinator can put you in touch with a range of schools, rural and in the town depending on what you are after. This is also a fee free org all they ask is that volunteers cover thier own expences. Let me know if you are keen and perhaps we can catch up over there.

jessica85 I will be working in a primary school teaching English. The school has never had a volunteer before. The school is 3/4 km away from Siem Reap town so I am going to hopefully buy a second hand bicycle to get there and back each day.
