This is the first ever source to sea Zambezi expedition. This journey has been attempted by many but very, very few have actually completed it due to the African challenges! We have not confirmed this journeys departure yet as we still have people on the ground conducting recces and negotiating passage. The trip will be lead by Pete Meredith Africa's most experienced rafting guide. He was joint leader of the first source to sea white Nile journey. The film of which was shown by Nat Geo.
This is real adventure up close and personal. Up to 3 months on a raft with a small group of people in challenging environments is both inspiring and difficult! Those who like comforts of home and complaining are not suitable. This is for those who always say "how can we do that" no matter what the difficulty and barriers because on this journey there will be many. At this stage we are just interested in those who are interested in this challenge. It may happen it may not, it is Africa but at present the odds look good.

Kiwiadian Keep me posted as to what your plans are. I would love to join but only get from November till April off work. I do Remote exploration in Northern Canada so I am use to bugs, bears, and no luxury accommodations.

warren Hi, I paddled the entire length of the zambezi in 2009/2010, unsupported, including the Angolan section which has to date stopped other attempts. i paddled a total of 3500km in 77 days using sea kayaks. one issue i would like to warn you about is crocs. we had many close encounters with them especially on the lower sections of the river in mozambique and zimbabwe. i consider myself very fortunate to have made the sea at chinde in one piece it was so bad! if you need any help/info let me know. rgds warren willis
