Somalia is a country located in the Horn of Africa. It is bordered by Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the northwest, and Kenya to the southwest. The Indian Ocean lies to the east. Somalia has a total land area of 637,657 square kilometers and a population of over 15 million people.

The geography of Somalia is largely defined by its location on the Horn of Africa. The country is characterized by a hot, arid climate with very little rainfall. There are two main seasons in Somalia: the gu (spring) and the dayr (summer). Average temperatures range from 21 degrees Celsius in the gu to 32 degrees Celsius in the dayr.

Somali culture is a rich blend of traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. The Somali language belongs to the Cushitic branch of the Afro-Asiatic family, and is spoken by over 99% of the population. Islam is the predominant religion in Somalia, with over 99% of the population adhering to Sunni Islam. Traditional Somali music, dance, and art are an important part of Somali culture.
