Map of Zambia

Zambia is a landlocked country located in southern Africa. It is bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Tanzania to the northeast, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south, and Namibia to the southwest. The capital city is Lusaka, in the south-central part of Zambia. With an area of 752,614 square kilometers, Zambia is slightly larger than Turkey or Iran. Most of the country lies at an elevation of between 1,000 and 1,500 meters above sea level, although a few areas are higher or lower. The landscape is diverse, with savannas in the north and west, woodlands in the central region, and miombo forests in the east. There are also mountains in the southeast and southwest. The culture of Zambia is varied, with over 70 ethnic groups making up its population of 17 million people. However, there are some common traditions across all groups, such as a belief in spirits, respect for elders, and a strong sense of community. Zambia is also known for its music and dance, which often feature drums and other traditional instruments.
