Serbia is a landlocked country located in southeastern Europe. The country covers an area of 34,116 square miles, making it slightly larger than the state of Kentucky. Serbia shares borders with Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. The terrain of Serbia is diverse, with plains in the north and west, mountains in the south and southeast, and lowlands near the coast. The climate is temperate, with cold winters and hot summers.

The population of Serbia is approximately 7 million. The largest cities are Belgrade (the capital), Novi Sad, Niลก, Kragujevac, and Subotica. The majority of the population is Serbian Orthodox Christian, with smaller groups of Muslims and Roman Catholics. Serbian is the official language, but many people also speak English or French.

Serbia has a long history dating back to ancient times. Today, the country is best known for its natural beauty, diverse culture, and delicious food. Tourists can enjoy hiking in the mountains, visiting medieval castles, exploring caves and waterfalls, relaxing on beaches, or sampling local specialties.
