Map of Uganda

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa, bordered by Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The capital city, Kampala, is located in the south-central part of the country, and the majority of the country’s population is concentrated here. Uganda has a diverse landscape, with verdant rainforests in the east and dry savannahs in the west. The climate also varies considerably depending on location, with cooler temperatures near the equator and hotter conditions further inland. The people of Uganda are just as diverse as the landscape, with over 40 different ethnic groups living within its borders. However, the majority of Ugandans are Christians, and English is the official language. Even though Uganda is often associated with conflict and poverty, it is also a country with a rich culture and history. Visitors to Uganda can expect to find a warm welcome and an unforgettable experience.
