Morse Lake Indiana

Other aquatic life includes frogs and turtles.

The only known place in Indiana where zebra mussels have been found was on Morse Lake.  For those on the shores, it’s pleasant to sit back on a blanket and relax while you take in the views of all the water sporters.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Residence & Jail

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Residence & Jail is an interesting attraction that operates on donation only. The house was built in 1854 and functioned as a jail until 1959. 

It has been fully restored and furnished to preserve it as closely as possible to how it looked when it was used as a jailhouse. the leader of the KKK, Doc Stephenson as well as Charles Manson spent time here. Their stories are posted on the wall.  Interesting to look at.

Country Moon Winery

Just a couple of miles away from downtown Noblesville is Country Moon Winery. You don’t have to be a wine connoisseur to know that wine is one of Indiana’s major exports—but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

A visit to Country Moon will impress you with its homey charm and its local offerings: All its wines are Indiana-grown and -made.  Schedule your visit on a Saturday for wine tastings and a tour.

The Historic R.L. Wilson House

One of the most significant sights in Noblesville is The Historic R.L. Wilson House. Originally built as a simple house and later renovated into an official mansion, the Wilson House makes for a beautiful landmark of Indiana’s history and culture.
